PINELLAS COUNTY · CHRISTMAS LIGHT INSTALLATION
Christmas light installation in St. Petersburg, FL
St. Pete has its own look: 1920s bungalows with wide porches in the Old Northeast and Historic Kenwood, canal homes on Snell Isle and Venetian Isles, beach cottages from Gulfport out to Treasure Island. So we start with the porch, not the roof.
- Porch, railing and column garland built for bungalow architecture.
- Dock, seawall and pool-area lighting on the canal homes.
- Beach-cottage packages rated for gulf wind and salt.
WHAT ST. PETE HOMEOWNERS ASK US FIRST
Porches, water and salt — the St. Pete three
Pinellas County homes sit closer together and closer to the water than anywhere else we work, and the display has to suit both.
Bungalow porches first
In the Old Northeast and Kenwood the porch is the display: garland on the railing, wreaths between the columns, warm white up the posts and across the fascia.
Docks & seawalls
Venetian Isles and Coquina Key homeowners see their display from the water. We light the dock rail, the seawall and the palms facing the canal, on the same timer as the house.
Beach cottages
Gulfport, St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island installs get wind-rated mounts and weatherproof connections, because on the gulf the weather gets a vote.
Historic trim safe
No screws in century-old wood. We clamp to gutters and railings and pad anything that touches painted trim, so the display comes down without a mark.
WHY ST. PETE IS DIFFERENT
Porches, waterfront and the beach — three different jobs
St. Petersburg's bungalows were designed around a covered porch, and that's where a holiday display belongs: garland wrapped along the railing, a wreath centered between the columns, warm white light up the posts and across the porch fascia. A plain roofline strip on a bungalow looks like an afterthought — the porch is what makes the house look decorated.
On the canals — Venetian Isles, Coquina Key, the Snell Isle waterfront — the audience is the neighbors across the water. Those displays get dock rail and seawall lighting plus palms lit to the crown, all on one timer so the house and the water line come on together.
Out on the beaches the constraint is wind, and in the historic districts it's the wood. We solve both with hardware rather than shortcuts: wind-rated mounts at the beach, padded clamps on painted trim in the Old Northeast.
- Porch and railing garland sized to the actual railing runs.
- Wreaths between the columns and on street-facing windows.
- Dock, seawall and pool-area lighting on the same timer.
- Wind-rated mounts and sealed connections on the beach.
WHAT WE HANG IN ST. PETE
What a St. Pete display usually includes
Most homeowners here pick two or three of these and let the house dictate the rest. We store whatever we install, so adding the porch railing this year and the palms next year is simple.
- Porch railing and column garland.
- Wreaths between columns and on street-facing windows.
- Roofline and porch fascia tracing in warm white.
- Palm wrapping and landscape accents.
- Dock rail, seawall and pool-area lighting.
- Patio string lights for the back yard, if you use it in December.

OTHER AREAS WE SERVE
GOOD TO KNOW
St. Petersburg questions we answer every season
Can you garland the porch without marking the railing?
Yes. We clamp and pad rather than screw, so painted railings and porch posts come through the season unmarked. On historic homes the fasteners stay off the original trim entirely.
We're on a canal — can you light the dock and seawall?
That's one of the most common St. Pete requests. Dock rails, seawall edges and the palms facing the canal all go on the same timer as the house, with marine-rated connections for the salt.
Do beach cottages need different lights?
Different mounting and connections, yes. Gulfport, St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island installs get wind-rated mounts and sealed plugs, because standard big-box hardware doesn't survive a December front off the water.
When do you install in St. Petersburg?
Displays go up from the first week of November and come down in January. If you have a date that matters — a party, family visiting, an association deadline — tell us and we schedule around it.
